美國埃迪納社區路德教會（Edina Community Lutheran Church, ECLC）於今年同志驕傲月主日崇拜時，該會牧師安娜·赫爾根（Anna Helgen）帶領全體會眾誦讀由《使徒信經》改編而成、LGBT版本的《閃耀信經》（Sparkle Creed）。內容提到上帝是「非二元性別的」（non-binary）、耶穌有「兩個父親」、聖靈是「彩虹色」的，被基督教領袖及網民批評為「偶像崇拜」、「異端」和「假先知」等等。
今年6月25日，該教會在YouTube上直播崇拜片段，後來影片中誦讀《閃耀信經》的部分再被上傳到推持Twitter及其他社交媒體，遭熱議。
#短片內容
赫爾根在短片中向會眾說：
「我邀請你們站立，身體和精神都振作起來，今天讓我們用《閃耀信經》的話語來宣告我們的信仰。」
然後教會全體站立誦讀《閃耀信經》：
「我信非二元性別的上帝，他們的代名詞是複數的。
我信耶穌基督，是他們的孩子，他穿著一件漂亮的外衣，有兩個父親，並將每個人視為上帝的兄弟姐妹。
我信彩虹色之聖靈，它打破了我們對一束白光的想像，並將其折射成絢麗多彩的彩虹。
我信天天作聖徒之人的教會，其人數眾多、富有創造力、堅韌力，就像愛滋病紀念拼布上的小塊一樣，他們的腳踩在泥裡，他們的眼睛驚奇地凝視著星星。
我信呼召我們每個人的，就是『愛就是愛』就是愛，所以親愛的，讓我們去愛。
我相信，榮耀的上帝。幫助我的不信。阿門。」
I believe in the non-binary God whose pronouns are plural.
I believe in Jesus Christ, their child, who wore a fabulous tunic and had two dads and saw everyone as a sibling-child of God.
I believe in the rainbow Spirit, who shatters our image of one white light and refracts it into a rainbow of gorgeous diversity.
I believe in the church of everyday saints as numerous, creative, and resilient as patches on the AIDS quilt, whose feet are grounded in mud and whose eyes gaze at the stars in wonder.
I believe in the call to each of us that love is love is love, so beloved, let us love.
I believe, glorious God. Help my unbelief. Amen.

#引來批評
短片傳出後，隨即引來批評。帕特里克·米勒牧師（Patrick Miller）在推特上寫道：「毫無疑問是偶像崇拜，這是禮儀上的不當行為，將莊重的信經改寫成閃閃發光的信經。」
密歇根州牧師曼施雷克（Mannschreck）表示：「它基本上只是一個裝滿人最喜歡的流行語的大垃圾袋。當目標只是將流行語塞進熟悉的句子結構時，它實際上變成了人的說話，並沒有給我們提供任何關於上帝的信息。」
網民亦批評這是「異端」、「褻瀆聖靈」和「假先知」等等。
#《閃耀信經》的由來
《閃耀信經》最初由以馬內利聯合基督教會（Immanuel United Church of Christ）雷切爾·斯托克斯牧師（Rev. Rachel Small Stokes）於2021年撰寫的。雷切爾指，「閃耀信經」這名字是源於有一天她用手機的語音功能將「使徒信經」打字給同事時，電話將「使徒信經」（Apostle’s Creed）寫成「閃耀信經」（Sparkle Creed），她因而受啟發。（意思是手機將 “apostle’s” 聽錯了做 “sparkle”）
#埃迪納社區路德教會（ECLC）是什麼教會？
埃迪納社區路德教會（ECLC）自稱是「進步派」（progressive）的路德宗教會。他是美國福音派路德教會的成員，自1985年以來，一直是該教派「在基督裡和解」倡議的一部分，該倡議旨在促進對 LGBTQIA+的認同及支持，即包括所有男同性戀者、女同性戀者、雙性戀者、變性人、跨性別者、酷兒、雙性人、無性戀、無浪漫感受者等等。
